I'm a mother of two adult children and grandmother of three. I share my home with three pampered pets: a cockatiel, an African Grey parrot, and a wise old cat on her 11th life.
I dedicate everything I write to:
God, the Father, for inspiration,
Jesus Christ, for my salvation,
The Holy Spirit for navigation.

I was a "seeker" most of my life: for all the wrong things, at all the wrong times, in all the wrong places. Not knowing The Lord, I did not then realize He was "seeking" me. I kept foundering into various depths of brokenness, each time crawling out slowly, only to go right back into another frantic search.
After (reluctantly, at first) becoming caretaker for my dying mother, I found myself checking into the "God Thing". When Mom joined The Lord three years later, my personal wilderness years began. On work disability myself, I lost the house and was forced to move into a leaky old trailer in the backwoods of Pennsylvania.
This time, however, I started to look for Something Else. Sitting by a window and staring out at the drifting snow became the center of my days. Meditating, praying for(?), and nature-watching led me to daily Bible reading. The Lord's Voice gradually broke through the discordant racket in my head. I began to see, not what I had lost, but how much I had gained.
I was grateful for the closeness I had developed with Mother during her last days at home. I was grateful for the hard times that followed, for they helped me grow. I was VERY grateful when I was able to get the plumbing fixed, and enjoyed hot and cold running water! Everything I used to take for granted became wonderful gifts through God's Grace.
As I saw how the woodland creatures were provided for, I realized that I, too, was given everything I needed by the Gracious One. One day, I was writing a letter and trying to find the right words to allay a friend's extreme anxiety. "The Chickadee" was born. The Lord gave me a new path to follow.
I suppose you could say that I kept seeking Him until He caught me!
He urged me into writing for Him and sometimes fires ideas and words into my heart so quickly I can't write fast enough! In the past two years I have written inspirational, humorous, and nature poems. Then recently, The Lord pointed me to Faithwriters. I don't know where this will take me, but I know who brought me here!
