I've been married to a wonderful man for 37 years, mother of four, grandmother of two. Born in the Island of Puerto Rico,my family migrated to the main land when I was twelve years old. Getting used to a new culture and new language was tough. In school I was put back to the fourth grade and from then on graduating from high school looked unattainable. Thus, at sixteen I opted to drop out and join the ranks working at the many textile mills in our city.
At seventeen years old I married and settled down to raise a family of my own. However, there was always the desire to do something more with my life. At age thrity three I felt that the Lord was prompting me to take that step and go for my General Educational Certificate. Fear and low self-esteem stared me in the face and dared me to take the step of faith. It took a lot of encouraging from the Lord and family,in order to step out. Joshua 1:9 "haven't I told you not to fear nor be dismayed, for I will be whith you wherever you go." Thus, trusting in the mighty arm of God I began my journey into higher education, self discovery and most importantly, trust in my heavenly Father's promises.
Through many hardships and obstacles, eighteen years later I emerged triumphant, with a MA in Marriage and Family counseling. To God be all the glory!
Recently the Lord has giving me a new challenge, and is to share with others the things that He has done for me, through writting. I pray that you all be blessed by the words of encouragement coming to this site.
