When hurt eats deep and comfort flees,
when heartache brings you to your knees,
when all words fail, this you must know.
The Savior loves you so.

When terror and the darkening skies
bring fear that ever near you lies,
when dear things fade, this you must know.
The Savior loves you so.

When all that once made sense is gone,
when silence takes the place of song,
when cold invades, this you must know.
The Savior loves you so.

When no one here can understand
the wretched pain of empty hands,
when life itself drains from your soul,
there’s one thing you must know.

Above the grief, above the flood
of hurt that pools like human blood,
above your sea of deepening woe,
there’s still one thing to know.

Yes, in the ravages of loss,
you’ll feel His Presence, feel His Cross.
Ease into Him, and you will know
your Savior loves you so.

This is my kind of poem. :) Even in our darkest moments, we still have hope in Christ. This poem has a nice rhythm to it as well.
