Etched upon parchment, changing and shaping a declaration that would create a
New country, the United States of America, born from the thirteen original colonies
“A bold new experiment!” They proclaimed, one that would be grounded in the best of republic governments.
None would match her. No one could foresee where the grand experiment would take them.
Determination forced them forward. Never again would they allow tyranny to control their country.
Prepared for the worse, they decided to find a way to prevent someone from having too much power.
Arguments over the legality of a revolution erupted, spurring fear of disunity and failure. That could not happen.
Passions flared. So much was at stake, they had to be put aside.
Emancipation had not been the goal, restoration had been. But now, they had only one option.
Revolution.
