To argument disposed;
From morn ‘till night he’ll postulate
Profundity to dominate
All those who are opposed.
His forte is in politics
With communistic bent
Who claims its policies can fix
All international conflicts—
Give perfect government.
From Karl Marx he’ll fondly quote
And others of his kind;
He feeds his soul on all they wrote,
His ire most easily provoked
By those not so inclined.
But speak of Christ and saving faith
It somehow lights his fuse—
The end of civilized debate,
His bulging eyes consumed with hate—
What conflict then ensues!
His nostrils flare, his hackles rise,
He stomps his feet in rage,
Black hatred fills his blazing eyes—
Did some mad devil just arise?
Escaped from hellish cage.
The blood that Christ for sinners bled
Can tame the raging beast
By Him alone, no other ‘red’
Philosophy or life-blood shed
Will give a soul release.
