As darkness encompassed the face of the deep and the Spirit of God hovered over the dark waters...
God knew of my future existence.
Before God separated light from darkness, creating both day and night...
God would number my days...
Before He spoke into being land and set boundaries for the seas...
God had conceived His purpose for me.
Before He spoke into existence one plant or tree, each after its own seed...
He established my DNA and knew the workings of my body.
Before the stars were locked in place and the Milky Way thrown across the sky...
God already knew in His omniscience how He would use circumstances in my life.
When God created man from the dust of the ground, giving him dominion over all living creatures...
He had a plan for my life.
And before forming Adam and breathing into his nostrils the breath of life...
I was engraved on the palm of His hand. He summoned me by name.
In His eternal vastness, God knew the end from the beginning, and He knew what it would take to bring me to a place of forgiveness and love.
“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast the sum of them! If I could count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.” Psalm 139:16-18 (Eastern Standard Version)
"O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you?" Psalm 71: 17-19 (Eastern Standard Version)
