Your ending is perfect. My grandparents moved in with my parents because both were diagnosed with Alzheimer's in my last year of high school. I remember the feelings of frustration and how my mother tried to cope with caring for them. This story is real and powerful. Well done.

Congratulations on your well deserved 2nd place award. I know several people that take care of their mother with dementia. Even though they love their mother, it is often difficult for them to keep answering the same questions over and over.

This story is written with so much heart and wisdom.
