Breathe out,
Welcome to Scare Night!
I hope you enjoy your stay.
I hope you have come to be scared
And that you are prepared for anything,
Including having a change of clothing.
The moon is full.
You should see me,
Nestled here amongst the corn.
My glasses reflect
The sporadic flashes of light
And I hum along with the monotonous music.
But you don't notice.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
You can see my breath
If you watch for it.
I hide in plain sight, and yet
You walk right past me...
Straight into my trap.
Patience and stealth,
That is my way,
Lay in wait,
And wait...
And wait for the perfect target.
The old adage is true,
"The bigger they are, the louder they scream."
I breathe in,
I breathe out,
Listening for the screams
Of utter terror.
Listening for the pounding footsteps
As they run away, faster and faster...
Towards me!
Come,
Come,
Come closer to me.
See, you might think
That you can get away.
But I know the paths unseen.
But, if you listen to me,
I might just lead you the correct way.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Ahh...there you are.
How now, might I torment you?
Hmm? Should I call your names?
Or shall I just give chase?
Or good ol' fashion "BOO" or a scream...
I don't have to do any of them!
I forgot,
My good ol' friend with the chainsaw
Was right before me.
Though, I wonder...
Did you know I can
Lead you right back to him?
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Farewell from Scare Night
Did you enjoyed your stay?
I hope the scarers didn't scare you
Too badly...else you might have wanted
To bring a change of clothing.
