Topic: Breathe (08/19/10)
The day I was a bride, my groom close by my side,
So filled with love was I, my breath just drew a sigh.

The babe that I held near, immeasurably dear,
So filled with awe was I, my breath just drew a sigh.

Our young ones had fulfilled the dreams we had instilled.
So filled with pride was I, my breath just drew a sigh.

Our children’s wedding days, another happy phase,
So filled with joy was I, my breath just drew a sigh.

My parents now were gone, and I must carry on.
So filled with grief was I, my breath just drew a sigh.

My loved one was quite ill; to heal, I prayed God’s will.
So filled with fear was I, my breath just drew a sigh.

Grandchildren came to bless; how great my thankfulness!
So filled with glee was I, my breath just drew a sigh.


That God loves even me, however can that be?
So filled with praise am I, my breath just draws a sigh.

And when my life is o’er, I’ll enter heaven’s door.
So filled with faith am I, my breath just draws a sigh.

Isn't it something that when we reflect back on life, these are the milestones we choose? Not money, fame, cars, houses. It's the simple, daily milestones, some good and some not so good.
I loved this entry and the testimony of the life.
