The morning hillside dew.
Take me on a journey far,
Away from pain and gloom.
I want to see the mountaintops,
I want to kiss the sky.
I want to touch upon the clouds,
And fly 'til dusk is nigh.
Take me there, oh take me there.
...I seek the time-worn shelves.
Take me to the golden gates,
Of castles, ships and seas.
Take me down the road that winds,
Around the starry reefs.
I want to see the knights of old,
I want to dance with kings.
I want to soar with butterflies,
Or with the fairies sing.
Take me there, oh take me there.
...I turn a weathered page.
Take me to the cliffs of time,
Beyond my feeble sight.
Take me where no man has tread,
Where pirates find their plight.
I want to see the rushing waves,
I want to touch the moon.
I want to ride a white winged horse,
And sail upon the dunes.
Take me there, oh take me there.
...I weep in beauty's prose.
Take me to the gardens great,
Where sights and smells collide.
Take me on adventures grand,
To race the ocean's tide.
I want to feel the morning's breath,
I want to drink the rain.
I want to dig for ancient gold,
From writer's pen it came.
Take me there, oh take me there.
...I blow on dusty words.
Take me to a blissful realm,
Where I might reign as queen.
Take me to the lion's roar,
A jungle full of dreams.
I want to breathe the twilight air,
I want to see the fields.
I want to walk beneath the mist,
And fight with warrior's shield.
Take me there, oh take me there.
...I must set the book aside.
Take me where no map is drawn,
So I may be the first.
Take me far away from here,
Where hearts and dreams give birth.
I want to come again one day,
I want to turn the page.
I want to sit in quiet's arms,
Imagination's stage.
Take me there, oh take me there.
...I leave brick walls behind.
Take me there, oh take me there.
...Tomorrow I return.

You have expressed beautifully the power of written words.
I LOVED this line: Take me where no map is drawn,
So I may be the first.
Take me far away from here,
Where hearts and dreams give birth.
Could I use that quote someday? It creats such adventure and fear at the same time at the thought of pursuing one's dreams.
