The cell block uses the same lighting that the rest of the prison does. However, there is a lingering green misty haze that fills the block. There is no regularity in when it comes and goes. But when it does arrive, there is this horrible sense of fear and peace all rolled into one moment. The prisoners always react the same though, and I'm thankful for that. Before this haze creeps in, a soft murmur of voices fill the air. I can never understand what is being said—though sometimes, I do hear my name being spoken. As this occurs, my hair stands on end. It makes no sense, but there seems to a power in these whispered words. This happens on a daily basis. The odd part, at least to me, is that the prisoners never seem to see the mist. They just react to the feelings it cause. Loud groans fill the air that mingles with weeping gasps for air.
The other odd thing is the prisoners themselves. Their documents all claim that they have different colored eyes than what they have in here. Take Sam; his paper work states that his eyes are blue. But I swear! They are green. He’s not the only one either. Every last one of the prisoners' eyes has changed...brown to green, blue to green, gray to green.
I'm not going crazy. At least, I don't think I am.
Maybe there's something else in their files that will tell me what is going on in this cell block.
Okay. Cell Block C...
No other notes about odd goings on like what I've seen.
Wait, that's right. These folks are Christians. Odd things occur with them.
There's one rumor that I've heard that their shadow can heal a person. Cripples jumping up, blind people being able to see. Nothing that I can tell that has to do with a green mist.
Well, that still doesn't explain in the green hazy mist. At least, not yet; it's time that I had a talk with Sam or one of the others in that block. They all seem like nice enough people, after all.
