A beautiful, intense depiction of hopelessness transformed into hope. Your imagery is very evocative!
I believe I know for whom this was written, Pat. It's painfully descriptive yet tenderly applied. I know it must have been both difficult to write and yet comforting. Your big ole heart just opened up and gave us another glimpse inside. A lovely piece.
In your beautiful poem, I see healing for your loved one and comfort for you. Very well done.

Beautiful! I think it DID work to break the rules...the way you wrote it fit the subject matter so well.

Wow, I thought this was lovely...well done!
A beautiful look at hope in what many say is hopeless. Nicely done.

I'm a bit late in reading the entries, but glad this was chosen as a stand out entry. In just a few words you said so much--A beautiful piece. Congratulations!

Emotionally charged poem. I liked the transformation taking place from stanza to stanza.
