familiar, loved,
spoken many years.
Echoes answer a dying heart.
At times,
a frightened heart.
Echoes…echoes…
Green walls have nothing to say and
monitors speak
a language of their own.
Tears silent.
No one knows
the ache that stretches
across the void of no return.
Only one
hears her fear.
Echoes…echoes…
Reverberate their pain.
Machines help her breathe.
In…out…
Love touches,
a hand, an arm, her brow.
Trembles ease in its embrace.
Fingers no longer grasp
its sunshine…
exuberant, flamboyant sunshine.
Remnants feed on the past and
nothing is left.
Letting go…
Tender words of
tears.
Tender words of
love.
Fade…
Fade…
Fade into…
Brilliance!
Rays and rays of brilliance!
Reaching forth unto the ends of the void.
Washing, healing,
breathing,
Light.
Deep, deep, breaths of
pure, sweet
Light.
Warm.
Fragrance Holy.
Twirling, swirling,
drawing her close, and
closer.
Soft upon her skin.
Dare she lift her hand?
Dare she lift both hands?
Oh!
The longing
to be in the arms
of the Light!
Her name called…
familiar, loved.
Surrender.
Healed.
