“When my heart is grieved … you hold me by my right hand.”*
The doctor marveled at the strength beyond this couple’s unimaginable sorrow – a Power beyond themselves. He left them to their grief wrapped in a Love he could sense was Present.

George gunned the accelerator. No way is this car getting past me. Serves ‘em right for tailgating. He looked to the left as the car pulled up beside him ready to gloat at the driver he pinned in traffic.
He was struck by the young girl’s face of panic and tears. He saw a baby strapped in the back seat; too calm – too quiet with red blazing cheeks.
“In your anger do not sin.”*
The young girl couldn’t believe it! The man was slowing down to let her through! She instinctively turned to look at the driver and saw the expression on his face. She was so glad he wasn’t angry. She just had to get to the hospital!

Twenty! That’s what the sign says lady! Twenty items – not fifty! Can’t you read? Sheesh! Madison gripped the bar of the cart and clamped her mouth shut. She seethed with the desire to say something to this elderly lady taking her time trying to fit what seemed like fifty items on the small space at the express lane. She struggled to keep her body language in check too. One big exasperated sigh would get the point across to this elderly and painstakingly slow lady.
“… help the weak, be patient with everyone …”*
The elderly woman was aware of the controlled restraint of this young lady next in line. She appreciated it. It was her first time going to the store alone after such a long recovery. She wondered if her memory had been affected somehow – she didn’t remember the counters being so small. Nevertheless, she smiled at the young lady and thanked her for her patience.

Thanksgiving – a time for feast and family. As Mia flitted around the grocery store she noticed a couple dutifully using a calculator making sure every penny counted. She could tell they were facing hard times by their attempt to appear clean and presentable in soiled and stained clothing ... by the empty look on the wife's face. The young man smiled at her as she walked by with her cart half full. She flinched at the ‘buy one – get one free’ bologna among the other few ‘staples’ in the couple's own cart. She heard the young man give a running total when the wife picked up another item – it went back on the shelf.
“… let us do good to all people …”*
The young wife turned at the tap on her shoulder – she had almost finished putting their food on the counter. The lady with the smile gave her an envelope along with a Star ornament mumbling something about Thanksgiving and Christmas. She handed them to her husband as she continued with the groceries, but when he showed her what it contained she quickly scanned the store, astonished. The lady with the smile had disappeared somewhere among the isles.

It has been said, ‘You are the only Bible some people will ever read.’
Maybe they didn’t realize they were paraphrasing from God’s own Words … “You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”*
A letter from Christ to the world … yes, that’s what we are … written by the Blood of the Lamb.

*Galatians 6:10

Nice way of wrapping up the entire message at the end. Good reminder to all of us.
Your first paragraph especially had meaning to me. Thank-you.
