The garden is perfect. In every possible way and in each tiny detail, it is perfect.
I hate it! Eden He calls it. Well He may have created it, but it will be mine--just as everything shall be mine.
I have the power to do whatever I want. He cast me out when I defied him. That was not an ending; it was a beginning.
I will never stop until I have destroyed everything He has created. He will be left with nothing and I will have everything.
The man and the woman He created. He loves them more than anything. They are the weak point. He vainly created them in His own image. All the more pleasurable it will be to destroy them.
It matters not to me if it takes a thousand years. I will succeed. He created the one command that will allow me to destroy it.
The woman is the more persuasive. She will become my tool to destroy the man. And this perfect garden will be ruined. He will no longer abide here. It will be mine.
Once they have eaten the fruit of the tree, Death will reign. Only when it is too late will they understand that Death is the absence of God. And once it is done, it cannot be undone.
**********
Father, the time has come. Your plan is perfect. Even to each tiny detail. Throughout the centuries you have revealed pieces of the plan to your prophets, and now it all comes together exactly as you ordained.
Jerusalem--my heart breaks for you. This is why I have come--that you may have Life and have it more abundantly.
No more will you be separated. No longer will you be dead. He that believes in me, even though he is dead now, will live again.
The rift will be restored. The wages of sin must be paid and I will pay that cost. I will offer it as a gift to all, freely given.
No effort or work can earn this reward. The gift is extended freely to all. And to all who believe and call on my name, their names shall be written in the Book of Life. And they will be called the sons of God.
Once they have eaten the fruit of the tree, my body and my blood, Life will reign. Only when Death is defeated can Life, the very presence of God, be restored. Once the price is paid, it need never be paid again. They shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (NKJV)
