My book's overdue!
A fine will accrue.
Seeking information
for my education,
bringing home a pile,
checked out for a while.
Flipping though the pages ...
wisdom of the ages.
Have to take them back.
Shouldn't be so slack!

2014

Computer in my house,
keyboard and the mouse
open world-wide doors,
libraries by the scores.

And there's ...
self diagnosis
feeding my neuroses,
lots of advice
for left-over rice,
dispatch of mice,
children with lice.

I find ...
the words of a song,
the theme of King Kong,
movie reviews,
immediate news
political views,
cures for the blues.

If I'm ...
washing my silk,
making coconut milk,
dyeing my hair,
have lemons to spare,
if there's nothing to wear
or I like my meat rare ...

I will google.

Information galore,
a real treasure store.
I'm enticed from my course
by this bounteous source.
I follow up leads
beyond my real needs,
encouraged by feeds
and internet speeds.

Time flies away
day after day
as I google.

Encyclopaedias have been upstaged,
their pages yellowed, covers aged.
For speedy answers, now of course,
google is my first recourse.

Again, old memories of which make me smile and sigh, of days gone by.

Nicely done, well written, and on topic. Good job.

God bless~
