I’ve been witness to a foretaste
of God’s kingdom’s matchless beauty,
in crimson ribbons of sunrise
and gloriously vivid hues
from the Artist’s sunset pallet.
I’ve stood, an awed observer of
His magnificent promise,
embracing all mankind
with streams of color, side by side,
across the tapestry of endless sky.
I’ve tasted heaven’s nectar
in golden goblets of the sun
and crystal cups of spring rain.
I’ve heard the voice of the Almighty One
in whispers of the wind
and thunder’s resonating roar.
I’ve listened to songs of seeming angel choirs,
magnifying the Lord of all with hymns.
I’ve sensed the scents of heaven
in our honeysuckle world.
I’ve touched the purity of paradise
in a newborn baby’s cheek.
All this abundance of wealth on earth,
provided by the omnipotent Creator,
has served as just a preview
of the riches to someday be enjoyed
in the forever house of my Father.
How blessed am I to be
the daughter of the King!

Your poem is rich with sensory images. I wanted to loose myself in your Eden world. I think favorite lines are, "I've tasted heaven's nectar in gold goblets of the sun." and "I've sensed the scents of heaven in our honeysuckle world." This is one of the most beautiful descriptions of nature, I've ever read. And of course, just the fact that this is a foretaste, blows my mind!

Awww... Yes! We are children of the King and have the wonders of the world (and eternity's treaures) to enjoy.

Simply beautiful...This poem is what "poetic" means. Lovely, simple, powerful.

Thank you. God Bless~
