Sits beside the data stream
The bait
In a high speed
8-GB USB pen drive in his pocket
A disposable email address
Thirty minutes of time
In an internet café
And a Styrofoam cup
Of strong coffee
Ignoring the game players
And faceless Facebook networkers
And the man typing out
His CV
The phisherman
Selects a tasty morsel
Something eye catching
A promise perhaps
A threat even
In CAPITAL LETTERS
He launches his bait
Into the silent depths
Of a million inboxes
And waits
He spies the lines
Of other phishers
Win Laser Eye Surgery
Says one to the nearly blind man
Earn Your Degree
Says another to the man
Who left school at sixteen
Without any qualifications
Festive flowers
For the woman
Who needs to feel appreciated
A cheap flight
For the cash strapped family
That needs to get away
And the perfect partner
Promised to the woman
Left on the shelf
To the sick and infirm
And those without medical insurance
The phisherman
Holds out the promise of a cure
The coffee cools
And time ticks on
He sits
And waits
Something bytes
A tug
A tiny red flag in the corner of the screen
A victim snared
From the tasty morsel
Dressed in coded letters and numbers
A burglar escapes and
Steals through the hard-drive
Pocketing passwords
Backdoor unlocked
He slips away
It’s nothing personal
Says the phisherman
And confesses he has
No axe to grind
So why does he do it?
Because he can

I wasn't sure what CV stood for, though I'm sure a more computer-savvy person would understand it.
You did a really good job with this piece. I especially liked the ending.
I'm not a big fan of free-verse poetry, but its randomness gave the feeling of disorder, which is what SPAM does to our computers.
I like how you use cyber lingo - pfisher, byte, data stream...
Free verse at its best.
