when a sky-full of starlight falls gently into my mind,
starlight aged by a thousand years of long journey,
i am persuaded, deeply persuaded.
when an ocean of waves lap upon the shore of my life,
whispering soft whispers in the stroll of my night,
i am persuaded, eternally persuaded.
when a wood of September maples bring their mellow to my eyes,
in shades of old gold made rich in their time,
i am persuaded, quietly persuaded.
when a meadow of larks sing in the summer of my heart,
bursting forth with a music echoing some unseen chime,
i am persuaded, joyfully persuaded.
when a shower of rain dances upon the dark lake of my spirit,
quenching my thirst with its refreshening of grace,
i am persuaded, thankfully persuaded.
when a zephyr of breeze pops open the sails of my soul,
racing me across flying waters with its playful intent,
i am persuaded, delightfully persuaded.
when a man sent from God casts his love upon my need,
believing in me before my ever believing in him,
i am persuaded, humbly persuaded.
