I glance at my gold watch; 7:59.
My light blue shirt compliments my blue eyes;
Creased, button-down, contrasting a black suit jacket.
Excuse me, sir, I never do this, but your eyes amaze me.
I blush, but smile and turn my head to see;
Blonde hair, my age, nice build, a cross of gold.

A pout, full lips, a sigh, a raised eyebrow.
Just one cup, can’t hurt, only a minute?
I glance at my gold watch; 8:00.

Waiting for a coffee cup of coffee in Salem
Would you sign your book for me, I just live …
The steaming brew of a few brief moments,

I find and glance at my gold watch … it’s too late, much too late.
