No way you could ever consume it all.
You can buy it,
Defy it,
But never deny it.
You can waste it,
Procrastinate it,
But never create it.
You can bill it,
Kill it,
But never distill it.
You can lose it,
Abuse it,
But never refuse it.
You can spend it,
Defend it,
But never rescind it.
You can find it,
Mind it,
But never unwind it.
You can meet it,
Greet it,
But never repeat it.
For shares of time that you’re permitted,
To spend them wisely, be committed:
To do your work with dignity,
To grow a happy family,
To be the best that you can be,
To live with all in harmony,
To deal with others patiently,
To live your life responsibly,
To live prepared eternally.
Now time is of essence ephemeral;
No way you could ever consume it all.
