The Lord is my snap,
My rhythm, tap, clap.

Sometimes in my bliss I start groovin’ too fast
And leave Him in the dust as I fly right past.

Then I hear a loud 'SNAP' and a tap, tap, CLAP,
And I do the cha cha sliiiide right on back.

~When I’m in step with Him, His snap keeps me in perfect rhythm.

The Lord is my snap,
My rhythm, slide, clap.

Sometimes I join the beat of another’s line dance,
And get a little lost in my own weird trance.

Then I hear a strict 'SNAP' and a tap, tap, CLAP,
And I do the boogie-woogie right on back.

~When I’m in line with Him, His snap keeps me in perfect rhythm.

The Lord is my snap,
My rhythm, stomp, clap.

Sometimes the snap leads where I’m terrified to go,
And I stay behind the curtain and spin solo,

Then I hear an echoed '(((snap)))' and a stomp, stomp, (((clap))),
And I dance a little jig right on back.

~When I’m in fellowship with Him, His snap keeps me in perfect rhythm.

The Lord is my snap,
My rhythm, tip-toe, clap.

Sometimes I hold my ears, find a room and shut the door,
And convince myself that I can’t box step anymore

Then I hear a gentle 'snap', and a tap, tap, clap,
And I do a step ball change right on back.

~When I’m tuned in to Him, His snap keeps me in perfect rhythm.

“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”

Love the rhythm of this, and the message. Repetition (as well as the slight deviation of it) is very effective. Very creative.

I want to SEE this performed. Great stuff.

Cool -- super creative! I can see this as a rap or even as a song.

Love the different dances that are mentioned when "coming back" to Him. This piece has Laura written all over it. Creative and completely unique with a lot of fun in it.

Creative, fun entry. I was picturing and hearing the actions in my mind as read. I enjoyed the unique meter. Thanks!

WOWzer! This one SNAPped and got my attention. Very musical--I can almost hear it. This would make a GREAT Children's Skit.
