I thought I couldn’t do it,
but then I thought I could,
but then again, what if I can’t;
what if I can and would?
If I can then could I?
If I can’t then would;
would everything I could do,
become what shouldn’t should?
If I could really do it,
then surely so I should;
and if I couldn’t do it,
then what I couldn’t could.
Should I do what I shouldn’t?
Should I do what I should?
Should I do what I can do,
or should I, would I could?
Could I do what I would do,
if everything was should?
Could I be what I could be
if everything was would?
Wouldn’t it be shouldn’t;
shouldn’t it be could?
Couldn’t it be wouldn’t;
Wouldn’t it be could?
So if I can but wouldn’t,
and if I would but can’t,
then what I should or shouldn’t
do depends on what I shan’t.
