waiting for His Son.
Waiting …
for the One worthy to reign at His side,
for the Son Who wanted to leave home,
to please the will of His Father.
Who carries the heartbeat of His Own.
The Heavenly host stirs.
Ready …
as Praise, Honor and Glory resonate through Holy space.
Waiting …
for the silence of Sorrow.
The King stands.
Praise, Honor and Glory still their song.
Billows of agony – sweet and savory,
rise, and fill Holy dominion.
God turns away …
and places His hand on the empty throne.
Holy tears release His grieving Spirit.
The Father whispers, the Son speaks, the Spirit confirms,
‘It is finished’
The Heavenly host stirs.
Ready …
as Praise, Honor and Glory listen.
The Father turns,
waiting … knowing … satisfied.
And the Angels watch.
Holy silence waits …
The heavens open to welcome their Son.
Love releases Its Joy!
The Son receives Its embrace!
And Love speaks …
‘This is my Beloved Son, with Whom I am well-pleased.’*
Then the Father takes the hands,
of Redemption’s price,
to lovingly stroke the scars of anguish –
the scars of Victory.
And places them upon His heart,
holding them close.
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
The beating heart of One. Together … Home.
It is time for the Son to resume His place.
And the Heavenly host breaks forth!
Praise, Honor and Glory shout Victory’s new song!
As The Father adorns His Son,
with the Pure White Robe,
of untouchable Light.
*Matthew 3:17 (NAS)

Wonderful take on "Home." A great reminder of what a sacrifice Jesus made by leaving His home and the Father's side in order to save the world. Awesome!
Blessings, Lynda
My favorite line: "...The Father whispers, the Son speaks, the Spirit confirms,
‘It is finished’ Beautiful.
‘It is finished’ I think my heart fluttered when I read that lol.
Your words are artwork.
Well done.
I loved the lines: "Then the Father takes the hands,
of Redemption’s price,
to lovingly stroke the scars of anguish –
the scars of Victory.
And places them upon His heart,
holding them close." That is such an image!
Being the mom of three sons, sometimes I look at them and wonder how God could have released Jesus to such pain, just for us...I know I wouldn't be able to do it.
Great job of showing us God's heart! Hope you place well with this one!
