I fall before you stained in sin.
Ashamed of who I have become.
Lust overtakes me, day after day.
It twists and turns within me.
Impure thoughts consume my mind.
I can't help but give in to these desires.
Guilt floods over me.
Knowing I have offended you.
What has led to this, oh God?
Please make me holy, as you are holy.
Yahweh-Shalom, the Lord who brings peace.
I can't break free of the hate that fills me.
As I cannot forget, about those who have hurt me.
Years and years of pain, wasted time I can't get back.
The offenses committed against me, assault me again and again.
And today, people curse me and mock my faith.
Agents of evil have been sent to cause my death.
I am tired, so tired; my body craves for sleep.
Depression fills my spirit, and each day is like climbing up an unending mountain.
Why do my offenders enjoy life? Their faces adorn not a scratch.
Protect me, Oh Lord; don't let the evil sent against me hit its mark.
Fill me with peace, as you are peaceful.
Yahweh-Rapha, the Lord who heals his children.
I need you now more than ever.
Your face, to comfort me in my sadness.
To let me know I am not alone.
Your love, to enshroud me in my anger.
To soften my hardened heart.
Your strength, to empower me in my fear.
I need to know that nothing can harm me.
Your guidance, to crush my anxiety.
So I can feel secure in your Will.
Your healing, so that I will no longer be controlled by the past.
But more than all this... I want to be like your Son, Jesus Christ.
El-Gibhor, the Lord mighty above all.
Accept this slime covered rock, that is I.
And transform me into a beautiful flower, befitting for your eyes.
Shedding the sin that keeps me from living for you.
So I can take up my cross and walk how you walked.
Where my life is a testimony of all that you are.
And so that when people look at me, skin marred with symbols of the fallen.
They will know... that you are Mighty to Save.
