“Brother,” prompted the old Pastor, with a gentle nudge on the young man’s back, “Your calling. Tell us about your calling.”
“You…you may all have heard in the news a few years back.” The young man snapped out of his anxiousness. “Archaeologists made a significant discovery. They uncovered, what is believed to be unprecedented volumes of Blogs. And so…”
His acute peripheral vision caught some looking to each other for an explanation, shrugging their shoulders in confusion.
“Blogs, if you’re wondering, are somewhat like journal entries, generally written over multimedia communication networks for public viewing.“
“Argh! How backwards!” Murmured someone in the room.
“Personal journal, for all to see?” Some shook their heads. The thought of one’s private life being read like a book obviously rocked some comfort zones.
“Hm…” acknowledged the young man. “In those days technology was rather primitive. People couldn’t have been transported…”
The crowd gasps as the young man suddenly vanished before their eyes. A unanimous sigh ensued when he reappeared almost as quickly.
“Apologies,“ he grinned, “network congestion. As I was saying, people in the past couldn’t just be transported as a holographic person to anywhere they so desired. Just like I’m doing now. Or some of you in this room.”
“Their communication was rather ancient, as you have correctly pointed out, “ he continued, “they relied on a novel antique art known as typing, to carve their stories over the World Wide Web, and then waited for others to take an interest and make comments.”
“Surely not!” Shouted an older lady from the group. “Do you mean to tell us that they lacked the cognitive skills of talking face to face?”
“Not necessarily so.” Replied the young man. “Although, socially it was the culture to communicate over the technology available to them, in preference to a face to face intercourse. In fact, archaeological evidence suggests that it would have been offensive to interrupt someone whilst they were communicating over technology – an action deemed rude, and unacceptable. As absurd as it sounds, they responded faster when a request came from an electronic media.”
The young man paused to take a sip of water.
“Not only that. A reputable Blog Analyst uncovered that once Bloggers have logged their entry, they would often expect instantaneous responses. It’s hard to believe, I know, but much of their lives were consumed with clicking and refreshing their “page”, craving for likers and comments. Some seemed to assess their self worth and success on such responses.”
Silence fell in the room. This was mind-boggling information to some; whilst compassion gripped others.
“Now, praise be to the Lord! A year ago, He led me to discover that there still exists people – a rather sizeable remnant of people, who have kept to this ritual.”
“No!” gasp some in the room, as they covered their mouths in unbelief.
“Yes, brothers and sisters, “ nodded the young man, his eyes filled with burning passion. “There exists wanderers out there in our day and age, who still blog every day, and pining for comments. They subsist in darkness, desperate for that human touch, for someone to acknowledge their very existence.”
“Oh may the Lord have mercy!” Came a cry from the far corner.
“Amen to that, sister!” Answered the young man. “It would appear that the Lord has heard their cries, and has called me - and humbled I am - to go and reach these lost souls.”
“Thanks be to God!”
“Hallelujah!”
“The Lord be with you!”
The echoes of yesterday’s commissioning service still resonated in the young man’s memory. How grateful he was to be prayerfully supported by his comrades in the Lord. There was work to be done, and obstacles ahead no less. The only way to reach this people group was to go and live incarnationally amongst them, just as their Saviour had modelled those many thousands of years ago: to become all things to all men, so that some may be reached.
The young man flipped open the cover of an antique IPad device, and began blogging.

I think you were weakest on the crafting. You had little errors like font instead of front. There were also places that could have used a comma to make it easier to understand. After a quote instead of a period, you may want to use a comma then put words like replied in lowercase instead of capitals. This will avoid having incomplete sentences.
I really enjoyed your message. I thought it showed a lot of insight. I enjoy reading something that makes me stop and reflect on my own life and decisions. You accomplished that.
