Treasured possessions
Wrapped up in a bow,
Handwritten letters
Penned so long ago.
Tender emotions
Of love's future dreams,
Walking on clouds
Of starry moonbeams.
A note from your child
Who thinks you're the best,
Or some small transgression
They had to confess.
Love travels miles
With one tiny stamp,
Expressing the glories
Of army boot camp.
A note to a soldier
Whose serving afar,
Longing for home
Under bright evening stars.
A letter from Grandma...
“A letter for me!”
And tiny small fingers
Then open with glee.
Handwritten letters,
The power to bless,
With every word written
Emotions express.
Friendship continued
Though miles apart,
Loneliness banished
By words from the heart.
A note on a pillow
Relieves the day's stress,
Ending one's day
With a little caress.
Treasured possessions,
A gift once bestowed,
Handwritten letters
Help lighten the load.
Anointed letters
Straight from God's heart,
Penned by the Spirit
To His love impart.
Those sacred pages
Penned so long ago,
Still changing lives
As seeds of God grow.

Tiny nitpick: be aware of the difference between whose/who's.
I very much enjoyed reading this beautiful poem.
Lovely poem. How did you get the lines to show up centered?
I have kept special letters over the years. So much nicer than an E-mailed page!
