Topic: Breathe (08/19/10)
Today I feel fragile. I am like a yellowed piece of paper that the slightest breath could turn to dust. Everything is an effort. My feelings are raw. I want to hide away like Elijah in the cave.

I yearn to hear the still small voice but the noise in my head is too loud. Are you there Lord? Just a sign of encouragement, would be nice. Send a concrete reminder of your amazing power that would pull me out of my current circumstances. I’ve read of miraculous abilities. I’ve heard testimony of your marvelous works. Can they be manifested in my life today?

Silent, I must me be silent. Your child will hear your voice. Straining through the din, I hear something. Faintly, yes, I know you will not leave me. Your word says “When you give them your breath, life is created, and you renew the face of the earth” Psalm 104:30. Breathe on me once again. I feel life returning, hope is renewed. You are here.

Even though the words are few your pain seems to be quite overwhelming. My heart aches for you and I hope you do remember that God is always there with you.

This read like a prayer...a prayer each one of us has at one time, I am sure...prayed. I felt the raw emotions you expressed along with the renewed hope of feeling His presence, once again.
