We each, shaft straight
are fast as the arrow.
Sword:
Twisting of fate!
You've no bone or marrow!
Tongue:
Straight still I am...
pen used and not sheilded.
Sword:
Alas, a-men.
We both, true, are weilded.
Tongue:
Ink permantent,
lasting through history.
Sword:
Blood eminent,
time circulatory.
Tongue:
Metal and frill!
You think you are mighty?
Sword:
Be flesh or quill,
o'er you I'm almighty.
Tongue:
Oh dear, poor fool.
Truly disillusioned.
Sword:
Shall we then duel?
It's your death commissioned...
Tongue:
You threaten, sure.
But tell now, what of love?
Sword:
Conquest! Rescue!
Fairytales undreamed of!
Tongue:
Let me express,
in pen all truthfulness¡
Sword:
Do so ¨C regress!
I have no weakliness.
Tongue:
You¡
You can not woo without coercion.
You can not greet without suspicion.
You are but forcer of decision.
You are not maker of a vision.
You will not take for you possession.
You will not leave lasting impression.
You only take to you aggression.
You only leave the soul¡¯s extension.
Yes you.
But I¡
I make the heart accelerate!
I memory take and annotate.
I give choices then obligate.
I help through life, to navigate.
I cause things to appreciate.
I can all pain alleviate.
I with a verb abmoinate!
I make the soul to levitate.
I¡
Sword:
Stop now, no more.
You've cut me good and fair.
Tongue:
See now the core!
My words have laid all bare.

One thing to consider: I thought some of the rhymes were a bit forced, and the rhymes were not needed with such a creative structure.
I really found the format very interesting and creative - great job!
