“I’m so tired.” she pleads to her Lord.
Holding the worn booklet close to her heart, her thoughts are reflected by the slow movement of her rocker as she leans back closing her eyes. Her breath comes as reluctant as her desire to look at what she must face – her own eyes reflecting back telling the story of each journey on every page.
“Why must I Lord?”
“There is one more.”
“May I get it now instead?”
“I’ll tell you when.”
“Yes Lord.”
In hands cool and dry with age, she opens the tattered and worn booklet…

Destination: Childhood
So sweet – so innocent – so unknowing. So unloved. She never did know why. But along the way someone offered her another booklet; Pearly White, embossed with Red and Gold. She accepted it with all her heart and kept it by her side these many years. Her source of strength, courage and Hope.

Destination: Love
Many journeys here. Each marked with its own stamp upon her life. Behind the smile she knew so well, pain and sorrow touched her once again. Deceit had marked and scarred – had pointed her down many wrong paths until the Truth was the only path left – to the rest of her life.

Destination: Motherhood
It never ends! Once a Mom – always a Mom. She gave what she never had. She worked hard and prayed harder. It was comforting to see her children’s eyes in her own – she reached out to touch them – to absorb their absent presence. She felt relieved knowing each of her children received their own Pearly White booklet embossed with Red and Gold.

Destination: Grandchildren and Great grandchildren
The sweet savor of life. A bouquet of love. Living lights among the shadows of Life and Death. All the more to share her White Booklet! And Gramy loves to!
“Ann?”
“Yes Lord?”
“It’s time for the other one.”
“My children need me. I’ve got to stay. I’m not tired anymore!”
“It’s time for the other one.”
“Yes Lord.”
Closing the passport of this life, she slowly pushes herself up to get the one God was talking about. The passport to Eternity – Pearly White, embossed with Red and Gold. The One that never wore out – the One she shared along the way. The One she still needed to share among her family!
Holding it in prayer as she gingerly knelt by her bed, she was ready for His will. Once again she felt tired, once again she felt strong. Once again she waited… and waited. But her knees began to ache; her back was suffering, groaning she shifted her weight. “I think I’ll go back to my rocker Lord, if You don’t mind. I wanted to be on my knees if….. You know…….”
Comfortable in her rocker and once again in prayer, a loving stroke across her Passport of White begins the pleasure of reviewing Its Words. Page after page her heart is strengthened – page after page she waits.
Suddenly her eyes “see,” her ears “hear,” and her heart rejoices! This is it! Thank you Thank you Thank you!
“But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing Love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.”*
The phone ringing interrupts her praise. It's strategically within reach so she answers with ease.
"Hello?"
“Gramy?”
“Hannah! What a nice surprise! Are you in town!”
“Yes Gramy. Can I come over?”
“Oh Sweetheart, you know you never have to ask!”
“I know, I just wanted to make sure you weren’t resting. Gramy, I can’t wait – I’ve got to tell you – guess what, I’m pregnant! You know we’ve been trying for so long! Oh Gramy, I can’t believe it! I gotta come over!”
“Come on Sweet Pea, we’ll make some brownies and celebrate! I’ll be waiting. Hurry up! No wait – take your time – don’t rush. You be careful. Love you!”
“Love you too, Gramy!”
God whispered once again in her heart, “There is one more.”
To share this Pearly White booklet embossed with Red and Gold!
“Yes Lord, I will! .... Love You!”
“Love you too, Ann.”
