At the river bank a mallard paddles in the shallows. Willow branches draping gracefully over the rivers edge,
left a canopy where I rested my tense back and shoulders.
The scene was like a sympathy card from the paint- brush of God.
Then out of the river a rainbow trout leapt, the wind swept my hair and I turned my face into it. I stepped from under the tree as the rain began to fall.
The scene was beep, Mother I love you! Beep, Mother I love you!

Her family cried out…
Mother’s pallor was yellow, her eyes hollow but her countenance was alit in peace. Buttons switched off, tubes and needles pulled, then I gently washed her face and kissed her good bye.
A trout leapt, the wind swept, and I turned my face into it.
I stepped from under the tree as the rain began to fall.
