TITLE: Perpetual Symphony | Previous Challenge Entry

To direct the orchestra’s song.
With bated breath, I watch His mute commands
Bringing order to nature’s throngs.
I listen to the awakening sun
Lending warmth and daylight, in tune
With the cotton-candy clouds finely spun,
While they sing good-by to the moon.
Brilliant tree leaves flutter and gently twirl
While blue jays and butterflies play;
Their sweet music blending as it unfurls
Into thank anthems for the day.
Lowering His hands, Master Maestro calls
Down to the flowers and the grass.
They sway and ripple, growing tall
As they add their voices, en masse.
The waves of the ocean ripple and swell,
While mountain crescendos resound
Against overture’s refrains in the dell,
Bestowing tunes that are profound.
Crickets, grasshoppers, cicadas and bees
Add their exultations, as well;
So nature’s unique personalities
Form a musical carousel.
I marvel at the captivating notes
While hours speed by unheeded;
My mind and soul and heart seemingly float,
Basking in this balm so needed.
The heavens turn to gray while I remain,
And strong winds and thunder give praise
To the Master as He directs the rain,
Lightning setting the skies ablaze.
The storm loudly passes, as the rain stops,
And the music faintly pauses
For the low sighs of snowflakes, hills and rocks
Joining in with their applauses.
Morning, noon and evening now become dreams;
As Maestro continues to lead
His nighttime galaxies, stars and moonbeams
Now singing the lullaby keys.
The Master Maestro wistfully aspires
For each to see Him and hear Him,
As His creation’s symphonic glad choir
Daily plays His awesome love-hymns.
Oh, Master Maestro of earth’s blended rhymes,
Adoration to you I raise,
As I watch You leashing the wings of time
To form an endless psalm of praise!
