As I walk with the Lord I find myself following a path that I have not walked down before, along this path I find peace for my heart and a light that never stops guiding me. I notice that when I run ahead of the Lord instead of walking with him, my heart beats out of control and there is no rest from within, no peace and no light to guide me.
Today I will walk with the Lord, I will not run on a head without his light guiding the way, I will wait for the Lord to shine his light on each stepping stone that gets me closer to the promised land. His word tells me that; this is the way walk in it (Isaiah 30:21). Today, tomorrow and forever will I take up my cross and follow him, today, tomorrow and forever will I continue to trust him to lead the way.
