Your God given purpose was planted within your heart when God formed you inside your mother's womb. He is the author and illustrator of each of our lives, God wrote each page of your life with love, care and concern. He knew the struggles and heartaches you'd face throughout your life and he knew the strength and perseverance you'd retrieve from living the life you lived. Your purpose is a hidden treasure one that can only be revealed to you by God. The only way to find out what your purpose is, is by asking God to uproot all of the weeds that are keeping this treasure hidden from you.
I believe that everyone reaches a point in their life where nothing makes sense, where the hurt or emptiness is so strong that they feel their heart aching for comfort and relief...
I believe that this moment in time was ordained by God, he longs for us to ask him to come in and take over. This is the appointed time when God has chosen to heal us from our past hurts and hates. When we ask God to renew us, what he does is takes everything that is untruthful or unworthy in his eyes and uproots them (like weeds). Our past experiences have not only built our character, but have also left a residue that doesn't align with his word, this can be resentment, bitterness and so many other feeling that come from past heart aches (these are the weeds).
Are you harboring any resentment or unforgiveness? If so you need to release it to God as soon as possible, forgiving people that have broken our hearts isn't easy... but you must release that hurt to God and let him deal with it. “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us”.
When you allow God to take control of all areas your life you are asking him to uproot everything that is ungodly, just as a potter works out all of the imperfections in his masterpiece, God too works out all of the imperfections in us. This process can be painful, but a worthwhile journey. When the process is complete, God will have removed all of your imperfections... he then will use you for what he created you for, just as a clay pot has a purpose... so do you. Your purpose will always be something that provides a service too others and will always be something that your heart longs to do.
As for me, my heart longs to help single mother's that see no future for themselves, that have given up. I want to help them realize that God has a purpose for their lives and if they are willing... God is ready to fix their broken hearts and reveal their purpose to them.
