I may think I got joy 'cause:

My mind is full of sugar plums and I’m dreaming of White Christmas and a Blue Hawaii and I got rhythm and I got my gal and who could ask for anything more!

No, I think that happens 'cause I’m just happy.

I may think I got joy 'cause:

I’m walkin’ hand in hand with the one I love and we’re writing love letters in the sand and I know what could make me feel this way, my girl, my girl! And I’m NOT wasting away in Margurettaville and there IS a woman to blame and I know the scent of a woman.

No, I think that happens 'cause I’m in love.

I may think I got joy 'cause:

You have peel me off the ceilin’ with a Teflon covered spoon. I’m gellin’ with Magellon and groovin’ to the movin’ and I’m singin’ “I am Woman, I am Invincible!” in a guy way at the top of my lungs and the neighbors don’t care even if I jump out the window and land on their brand new cars! So come and get me Copper! You’ll never take me alive! Top o’ da world, Ma!

No, I think happens 'cause I’m just nuts.

Maybe I got joy when:

The cold wind is blowin' and I’m puffin' into the campfire of God’s love, and that one little glowing coal begins to heat up and cause sparks that will eventually start a flame which will warm me to my core and make me feel alright. Yea, it makes me feel all right.

Maybe that’s when I got real joy.

I like the humor in this piece, but it could have used some more proof-reading. There were quite a few typos in it and mispelled words... other than that, I found it very entertaining! :)

I liked the little ride down memory lane that the song lyrics took me on... twas fun!
And painted a very vivid picture of what joy is "not".
In the end you described beautifully, what joy is.
Good job! Kate~
