Christ is the Alpha and Omega,
The beginning and the end.
The first born of our Father,
On Him we can depend.
By Him our lives were formed
And given the breath of life.
Adam and Eve were created first,
But they fell in sin and strife.
As descendents struggle to obey,
Throughout our earthly days.
So many are blinded to the truth.
when we walk in Godless ways.
God sees the lives of sinful men,
His Laws, we could not uphold.
So He came up with a perfect plan,
That was flawless, great and bold.
He sent His precious first born Son,
In the form of a babe to earth.
Born through a Virgin Mary,
In a place of lowly birth.
He became as man to teach us,
The truth we need to know,
But His enemies denied Him.
They would not heed, nor grow.
They plotted to destroy Him
And then crucified our Lord.
But it was part of God’s Own Plan
In accordance to His Word.
He is the only one good enough,
To pay the price for sin.
He rose victorious over death,
So we could follow Him.
A Priceless Gift, He offers us,
When we’re willing to repent.
To accept the gift He freely gives,
Of forgiveness, heaven sent.
Adopted as co-heirs with Christ,
His love no-one can sever.
Set free from sin, to be born again.
We too can live for ever.
