I’m in a spiral. I’m close to losing it, and my so-called friends don’t seem to care. What a predicament!

They don’t think I notice the snickers behind my back and … well … I know what they’re thinking, I can hear them as clear as day – You’ve got yourself into this mess – it’s up to you to work your way out. Well, phooey! I’d be there to help them out, and I wouldn’t whisper and laugh about it either.

Come to think of it … I really resent their attitude and I’m not sure I can trust what they’re tellin’ me. After all, they want the same thing I do. Success! ‘To go where no man (woman) has gone before.’ To achieve what no one has been able to achieve so far. Yes! Me! I can – and will, do this. And I’ll bet the Boss will notice. Ah hah! In – your – face – friends!

Whoooooa … wait a minute here … I think I’m startin’ to feel a little nauseous. I hope I don’t have sweat circles under my arms. That money back guaranteed deodorant better be workin’ cause this dilemma’s got me reeling left and right and there’s no way I want anyone to know how nervous I am – especially my so-called Christian friends.

Friends, hrumph! Who do they think I am – some kind of dummy that can’t see right through them? Do they really think I’m supposed to listen to their opinions about which direction I should go? Yeah, right! They just want to see me fall flat on my own rear-end while I’m trying to find that donkey’s … err … hind-end! We’ll see who laughs last.

Man! You really find out who’s your best friend when you’re playing ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey.’

I can’t wait ‘till it’s Suzanne’s turn, and boy is she gonna get hers!

Okay, lets see … my head has stopped spinning – that's good. Now, if I can find the other pin holes, I think I can just about … figure out … where this dorkey donkey's tail ...

‘Ummmph! Hey! Wait a minute! That’s not where I was aiming! Someone must have bumped me! Suuuzzz? Okay, that’s it! No more Miss Nice Guy for you. And guess what Miss Priss? It’s your turn to pin the tail … and MY turn to spin. Here, dear friend, (*snicker, snicker*) let me help you with that blindfold … hehe.’ (*snicker, snicker*)

Very cute! I thought at first you were talking about some serious problem she was having and then the twist! Good beginning and good 'voice':) Nice take on the topic!
Anita Neuman02/20/06
Ha ha ha! Cute take on the topic. And you really had me wondering where you were going.
Lynda Lee Schab 02/22/06
HA! You had me going! I LOVE it when that happens. What a creative "spin" on "end." I'm still giggling. Tee hee. Too fun. Blessings, Lynda

Great! You had me going. When I got to the Pin the tail on the donkey, I thought, " must've missed something and started back at the beginning. LOL! Nope, I didnt' miss anything, I had just been 'had.' Hahaha Loved it. I loved your inner dialogue for the girl. Then she says the same things that she had accused her friends of. LOL! Such fun, thsnks!

How funny! Who would have thought a game of Pin the Tale on the Donkey could be so intense! Now I'm wondering what goes on in the mind of those little munchkins when they play party games!

Julianne Jones02/24/06
Oh so funny. You drew me right in and had me intrigued ... all for a game of 'Pin the tail on the donkey'. What a tale you wove! Well done.
Jeffrey Snell02/24/06
Way to come out of nowhere! You had me fooled. You're very "tricksy," as a certain Tolkien character would say!
Shari Armstrong 02/25/06
LOL totally had me to the end and what a kicker lol. Very well done :)
Crista Darr02/25/06
A donkey's hind end? Oh Patty, you're a hoot! You had me going, sympathizing with your poor mc. Funny lady :-)
Marilyn Schnepp 02/26/06
Only a teenager would think of "end" in this very creative fashion...but, as usual, I'm probably guessing wrong. Neat job!
Suzanne R02/27/06
I've been laughing for days! This is BRILLIANT! Creative - fun - wow!
