In a world that borderlines on anarchy, where do we as the people of Christ fit in? We have lost control and our voice in this once 'Nation Under God'. We have lost control of our schools in this nation founded on the basic teachings of our Heavenly Father. By some unwritten, yet much proclaimed law of 'separation', we have lost our control in the courtrooms and the senate.
Our children are beaten, murdered, drugged, coerced and hypnotized by rulers and principalities. Endangered eagles eggs have more rights than our unborn children.
We are frowned upon, we are laughed at, we are called 'intolerant'. As the world attacks and satan laughs, we, as the Body and Breath of Christ, watch and pray, unsure of how to battle the mighty army that consists of friends and neighbors.
We cannot control the world. We cannot control the minds of men or the predestined course of mankind. We can only control our response. Our battle is not with the finite, but the infinite. We must battle by allowing our voices to be heard.
Brethren, we are called to love, and to love honestly. In order to love like Christ, we must be passionate. Passionate toward each other, passionate toward the dying world, passionate for the innocent victims, passionate to end the tyranny of satan.
In order to love like Christ, we must be compassionate. Compassionate toward the sinner while we abhor the sin.
But above all, in order to gain control, we must give up control to the only One who has total control.
And in doing so, we make a difference.
