drop as the rain
Your Word distill
as the dew
as raindrops on my tender herb
Pour forth Your rain
as showers
on the withering
lawn
of my much neglected garden
Come the Latter Rain
fall on me
I pray
on my parched land
dry and dusty
I long for the Rain
promised in Joel
to fall on me
that I may dream dreams
and see fresh visions
I may prophesy
for Your glory
to encourage
and strengthen
Your Body
I eagerly
await
a distinct display
of Your wonders
in the sky and on earth
A refreshment to my soul
A rekindling of my faith
and life in Christ
A complete break from the mould
shaped by the world over years
A rejuvenated self
keen to worship
to disciple
and to serve others
in gladness and love
The outpouring
of Your Spirit
neither a nebula
nor a mystery
comes in crystal clarity
May I learn
to fear You as my Lord
who gives
me rain in season
both the former and the latter
May I acknowledge You
who will surely come
as summer rains
and winter rains
to water the earth
