What a beautiful story and well crafted. I worked with special need children and adults for several years and can definitely relate to the "social" skills, special children and adults struggle with.

I thought it fit the topic very well and is my favorite so far. Good luck on the challenge!

This entry has haunted me as I have read the next several ones. I love the way you alternate between your habits and feelings and Ben's. The alternation ends at just the right time as you go on to make your final point.
Well written information we all need to take to heart and understand, for all mothers and their Ben's. Knowing how may take some learning but we should learn for the Ben's sake and for ourselves.

Good for us all.

Your entries touch the heart of readers, I know you have mine and so many other times in the past.

Your tender stories reflect your emotions and brings the reader into your 'living room' as you invite us to share your life...and I thank you for that.

Beautiful, moving, and such a powerful read.

Praise God that he has a girlfriend and a friend in the psychologist...and most important, you as his loving mom.

BLessings to you all~
This is such a moving tribute to your son Ben. I glad he found a girl who loves him for who he has become just like Jesus does.

I liked how you compared your moods to his so we could get a better sense of his courage and strength. Thank you for having such a beautiful heart and spirit and seeing him though the eyes of his mom.
This is beyond brilliant. You brought me into your world with grace and elegance. While I can't imagine what it must be like to see your beloved son suffer, you gave me a glimpse and this is the first step in understanding. This is one of my all-time favorites.
Congratulations on being 6th place in the advanced category. This entry was so heart tugging. I gained a lot of insight from reading this moving piece.
