I googled for a Sunday meeting
Found a place that needs no seating
What fun to watch church from my comfy bed
With sweet croissant and my latte
Musique de jour and much to say
I know this preacher’ll straighten out my head

Listening for that still small voice
Within this frantic ceaseless noise
Competition is suddenly all the rage
Reading the Bible is much less fun
Now that twitter’s all but won
Oh how I love to hear the latest sage

The blogs all say conflicting stuff
Facebook’s getting kinda rough
While YouTube always fascinates the most
The news outlets ramp up the pace
Competing for eternal space
To bring you Father Son and Holy Ghost

I find each day a prayer to cite
The daily verse is quite alright
Seems I have whatever god I need
And if and when doubt nags the soul
My spirit can always rock and roll
And toss into the mix a goodly deed

And yet that still small voice can be
A thorny jab that sets asunder
And causes me to sometimes wonder
Does God ever google me?

Thank you for this thought provoking piece. Though omniscience doesn't need google. You've touched on a common practise in our day of chasing good feelings, leisure and fun. While worship is of the heart and spirit, fellowship with the body of Christ is also a part of that, being untied with Him. Keep up the good work.

Sadly, that's how most people go to "church." To answer your last question - He doesn't need to google me. He already knows me.
Very thought-provoking poem!
