Though outside Nakuru, Kenya
You now stand in the deep end
Of a sea of poverty,
You hold lives and hearts of little ones,
Feed, clothe, teach, and befriend
These children of our King.

Though His breakers billow over you
Crash and flood as if unplanned.
Illness and lack, hunger, fatigue
Enemy attack, gnawing need
Come from His heart and from his hand.
For He is sovereign God.

Father guards and guides, protects you.
Even in the deep end
Where waves obliterate the land.
Closer than your breath, He is with you.
And stand you will, for He is
Able to make you stand.

Our God is stronger
Than disease and evil that rend
Fabric of family and nation.
He graces men with gifts
And hearts of love to help
Orphans know true elation.

Amid all the strain and struggle
In another deep end
Of life-filled soul-enriching space
He breathes His Spirit into you
And keeps those children through you
In the deep end of His grace.

I like your descriptive words, but I was confused as to whom the writer was speaking to - the worker, the orphan, or the reader? This has a powerful message.
