As Brian stepped inside his friends' house, Stephen put a finger to his lips, looking at his son. "Whatever you do, do not say the three letter n-word."

Brian furrowed his brow. "Three letter n-word? I have no idea what you're talking about. All I know is I'm exhausted, and as soon as I pick up the stuff I left here, I'm going home to take a nap."

Stephen smacked his forehead. "Oh no. You said the n-word."

"What, nap?"

"There! You did it again. Now Carson is going to go crazy, and he was just about to fall asleep too. Good going."

Brian glanced over Stephen's shoulder before whispering, "Nap, nap, nap!"

"No! Stop! He'll hear you! Don't say it again."

Brian grinned. "Nap."

Stephen put his hands to his head. "Please. I beg of you. Stop saying that word. I'll never hear the end of it from my wife if Carson misses his... you know what... again today."

"Nap. Nap. Napity nap."

Stephen shook his head. "You really do love to torture me, don't you?"

"Yep. But I'll stop saying that word."

"Thank you."

Brian smirked. "I think I'll sing it instead. How about to the tune of 'O Christmas Tree'? 'Tis the season, after all... O nap time, o nap time. The best time of the day. O nap time, o nap time, it's time to stop our play."

"Will you please just get your stuff and leave? I can't deal with a cranky kid today."

"Sure. Then I can take a lovely..."

Stephen interrupted him. "Look, normally I'm a mild mannered guy, but if you say that word one more time..."

"...nap."

"That's it. Just look what you've..." Stephen turned around, only to find Carson fast asleep. Brian smirked. Stephen turned back around to Brian. He paused. "Uh... how long has he been like that?"

"Ever since you started complaining about me saying the word nap. I checked right after you mentioned Carson going crazy, and when I saw he was already asleep, I thought I'd have a bit of fun."

"Well this is a bit embarrassing. I guess I was ranting and raving so much that I failed to notice my son was not ranting and raving. You'll uh... keep this between us, right? I mean, you won't tell my wife or anything, will you?"

"You know, I wasn't planning on it, but now that you mention it..."

Stephen shook his finger at Brian. "Don't you dare."

Brian ran for the door, cackling wildly. He returned the next day to retrieve his forgotten items. This time, however, he made sure to arrived after Carson's nap... and his.

This is cute but I think you forced the topic in there a bit. But still, a cute story:)
