Nothing beautiful about you;
scorned,
  spat upon,
    stripped,
      suffering,
but your offering was beautiful to me…
your sacrifice was beautiful to me.

Nothing attractive about you;
beaten,
  bruised,
    broken,
      bleeding,
but your offering was beautiful to me…
your sacrifice was beautiful to me.

It is hard to understand
that this
was the Lord’s good plan for your life,
but the Lord’s plan prospered
in your hands.

Nothing appealing about you;
weighed down,
  whipped,
    wounded,
      waning,
but your offering was beautiful to me…
your sacrifice was beautiful to me.

Nothing lovely about you;
desecrated,
  discarded,
    despised,
      dying,
but your offering was beautiful to me…
your sacrifice was beautiful to me.

It is hard to understand
that this
was the Lord’s good plan for your life,
but the Lord’s plan prospered
in your hands.

***
It is sometimes hard to understand
that this
is the Lord's good plan for my life,
but may the Lord's plan prosper
in my hands.

Let my offering be beautiful to you…
Let my sacrifice be beautiful to you.

Excellent work. Loved the visual effect of the poem that really emphasised each word. May the Lord's plan prosper

It's certainly not 'hard to understand' that is would be a great song! So much depth of meaning here, which is not always prevalent in contempory songs.
Cassie Memmer11/17/05
Very, very good! Can't wait to hear it sung!
B Brenton11/19/05
