Refreshing monsoon rains are quenching cracking earth
Natureís hidden treasures revealed from waters giving birth
White-faced blooms hold purple stamens, each stem gracefully long
In bunches they bow and bring to mind the flair of fireworks gone

Queen Anneís Lace stands erect dressed in elegant white
Wild squash-like plants sprawl out, their trumpet blooms delight
Delicate red, tiny flowers cling to their traveling vines
So many hues decorate the land, some plants I canít define

As each miracle displays their gowns at this seasonal ball
Dark velvet moss emerges through sidewalks and rocky walls
Sunflowers stand like sentinels at the hem of gravel lanes
Variegated leaves, lavender sage, and flowers with simple names

Orange paintbrush, sweet daisy heads nod in my direction
Imagine if you will, how they praise God with affection
Monsoon miracles speak to me through beauty now exposed
Might parched spirits come alive if love should quench their souls

Kind, encouraging words brighten any conversation
Birthing smiles, even friendships that bloom with elation
Dividing someoneís troubles, cutting heavy loads in half
Their blessing becomes doubled joys--then spirits start to laugh

Loveís monsoons should not dry up, but forever satisfy
Imagine if you will, the dazzling twinkle in Godís eyes
If every child beneath His wings would live out His command
To love ever so sincerely--yes, that surely would be grand!
