To sing, is to live! A song in one’s heart can be an expression of love, joy, sorrow or emotional pain. When you think of it, so many down through the ages have expressed themselves through a song.
King David, of the Old Testament, often sang when he was victorious in battle or when giving glory to God because he had been forgiven, or because he was just plain happy!
So many songs throughout the ages have given joy. Music from such movies as The Sound of Music, Camelot and West Side Story give off a sound of glory, happiness, love and success.
But, when I think of songs I think of humans—each having their own song—some good, bad, happy or sad.
Think of your own life, if you will. In your daily living, do you sing a song of happiness, victory, success or do you sing a song of negativity, sadness, failure or depression?
Famous and infamous leaders of our country and of other nations seem to have a song of their own and it doesn’t take long to find out what kind of song exemplifies their life.
Take me, for instance. For most of my life I sang of song of loneliness, fear and defeat. Then, Christ came into my life, sang His song of truth and love and changed my medleys of doubt and anxiety into happiness, success and positive ways of living.
When you think about it, Christ has a unique, clear, distinct and positive sound. His singing is glorious, understood and for all man and womankind. I’m happy that I heard His singing some 20 years ago because I don’t think I would be alive today, without it. And, even though His melodious sounds can’t be heard by human ears, how sweet the sound is to one’s aching heart.
So, next time you think of singing, think of Christ singing a special song to you. He’s at the door of your heart, you know…..
