Out from the stress of this little game,
My calfs sag, legs out of joint;
I’ve too much abdominal fat, too little
Muscle tissue, not enough
Testosterone, body’s running
Low on vitamins, B, Z and E
This game is keeping me busy;
But I’m coming up soon blue blood,
And all chips are going to fall
Into place, game of death, it’s just
A game; I must finish this last level,
And He’ll fill with energy my intentions,
I’ve got a sharp memory for verse re-
tention, like eating vegetables raw,
To heal the fat lips, got a steel jaw
To down peanut butter sandwiches,
Apples, celery, carrots and sip ice-tea,
Unsweetened of course, eat yogurt
When I get home instead of fattening
Chocolate cookies,
Got my game on a wide screen TV.,
Pick up the controls, turn up the vol.,
And I see the smoke of a thousand bombs;
I hear the screams of a billion beings;
I resented their actions, every one;
I hated, but my hatred returned to me;
It did not set me free!
Lovely Shepherd, lowly hosts,
Look at me atop Israel’s hills –
Jerusalem to Jericho, guns in tow
To observe the famed valley, Megiddo,
A war played out on my home TV.
See the haze, swarms of beasts,
Exiting Hell, smoke on their feet –
Let loose for a season on mankind,
Their pleasure like the buzz of wine
You hear the baying of hound dogs
Moving on you through forest logs,
My game is not PG 13
All day I watch it on my wide screen,
I wander Middle Earth, my friend
Wondering when this fight will end.
