Blessed is the man that trusts in Jim.
His station in life had seemed so grim.
Since the age of thirteen,
Jim’s been in and out of trouble,
and to all of those around,
Jim’s soul was in rubble.
But, they that wait upon the Lord
mount up with wings through His accord.
And, Jim became aware of that
while sitting in a soup kitchen chewing the fat
with a man and his wife
who came to cook on that day
and to pray for the souls who had not found the way.
Through the prayers that they said,
Jim had been truly fed.
So, he repented his transgressions
with a prayer of confessions
for the reality of sin
that his criminality had been.
And, now, since he's tasted the Lord
and found he was good,
Jim goes out and ministers
all over the hood
in search of more lost souls
who are misunderstood.
