Who am I?
What is my purpose?
Why am I here?

The questions flow freely
Through my mind, driving me crazy
As I constantly wrestle with God.

Like Jacob, Moses, even David of old,
But I have to wonder
Do I even have a reason to be here?

Those three had a real purpose
One was the father of a nation,
Wrestling with God, in every way possible

Another, was the savior of Israel
Setting his people free and questioning
About the purpose of such a stiff necked nation

A man after God's own heart
Yet he was constantly questioning,
Demanding to know if God really existed.

So, I ponder my own questions
Slowly but surely finding my answers
Not in man, but, instead, in the Word.

I might not be the father of a nation,
But I might just lead others towards the Cross
And I continue to seek, growing closer towards Him.

So here, my questions
Find their answers.
And here, I am at peace with not knowing.
