Very thought provoking piece, and opens up deep meaning for the word "holiday" for believers. Thanks for writing it!
This is a lovely devotion. I like how you are able to apply Biblical times to modern times to help those who live in a naive world (like myself) can really understand the message.

My only red ink is a petty one and I'm not even sure I'm correct but it did flash through my mind so I'll mention it. Instead of saying Mr Obama, I felt it respectful to say President Obama, though I did second guess myself because at the time he hadn't been sworn in yet.

Like I said it was tiny red ink. your prayers are always so right on. I love how you are able to put what is on my heart and what I want to say to God in such lovely words of prayer.
