darkened floundering, heavy in swerving toward despair
blue-soul touches swallowing hope in oceanic billows
dizzy heights of a troubled mind falling deeper, deeper down the slope
desperate clutching at empty weightless escapes - then
my hellish despair transformed to hope by You!
muddy wading along a trackless way, lost amid the mire
stained covered raiment of a blighted righteousness
sinking in life's swamp sucked dry by leeches' life
standing in the camp of nothingness less nought – then
i found my way to meaningfulness through You!
disappearing dreams dropping down doubters' drop
crashed faith brittle – smashed to smithereens
groping fingerless hands and eyes sightless to the dreams
lost in haze-land of fading reality – paralysing rescue potential – then
my sight was restored and I felt the rush of faith through You!
cold love shrinking from any heat – hiding in the shadows
a lonely walk through the valley of nothingness and less
pushing wounded bruising deep down and from any view
an arid heart made dry by cold not heat – then
a pulsating and vibrant love was given to me by You!
second chances gambled on a losing chancer
blighted targets missed amid aimless shifting sands
entangled chains clasped fast not shaken off
a messed life lost to the straight now bent and broken – then
i was given a robust touch to life by You!
